With Gabe and Sean located in Central Maine and I in Boston (Massachusetts), we had a comfortable perimeter around the summer stomping grounds. In the interests of the band, we elected to seek replacement players for Matt and Charles, as their distance proved impractical for band activities. Although a rough time for band solidarity, things seemed to find a happy settlement with area bassist Jason Unterreiner and local strongman Ian McConnell, both of whom answered our musicians wanted ads. After a semester of downtime, as the new formation reforged the Lowfive sound and honed their combined abilities as a band, the band returned to regular gigging schedule at the turn of the year. After six months of light duty, gigging off and on for the school semester, Sean Higgins announced he was leaving the band at the start of the summer. Never taking anything that guy says seriously, we kind of waited until he actually left, and then got to business looking for a guitar player. During our hiatus, Jason also decided to leave the band, breaking Lowfive's 3-week-old record for "total number of former members". continue...
